The real problem

Exhibiting is expensive. Exhibiting badly costs even more.

Location, square metres, build-up: a trade show is a serious budget. If your stand does not catch the eye and guide the visitor, all that investment goes unnoticed.

Invisible from the aisle

Without high-level signage or a visual hook, your stand blends into the crowd. Visitors look elsewhere.

Lost among the formats

Pop-up, modular, custom-built, double-decker: hard to know which one fits your location and your budget.

A poorly used space

No clear welcome area, no planned flow. Visitors walk in, wander and leave without making contact.

The definition

What is an exhibition stand?

An exhibition stand is the fitted space you rent at a trade show or fair to present your products, services and brand. Its role: make you visible from the aisle, structure a welcome journey thanks to a proper stand fit-out and turn passing visitors into qualified contacts. Done well, it is not an expense: it is an acquisition channel.

Based on your location

Types of exhibition stands

The number of open sides changes everything: visibility, flow and price. We choose the configuration based on the location you book. Full guide: the types of exhibition stands.

In-line

One frontage open onto the aisle. Ideal for a limited space.

Corner

Two open sides. Excellent visibility at an intersection.

Peninsula

Three open sides. Maximum access, heavy footfall.

Island

Open on all sides, 360°. Total visibility, the freest option.

Island, corner or in-line stand: which configuration should you choose?

The configuration of your location, that is, the number of sides open onto the aisles, determines both your visibility and your budget. Here are the four main cases and how to make the most of them.

The island stand: 4 open sides, 360° visibility

An island stand is open on all four sides, surrounded by aisles, with no shared wall. It is the most visible configuration at a trade show: people see you and reach you from every direction. Ideal for awareness and launches, it demands a comfortable footprint (20 to 30 sqm minimum), a suspended high-level sign readable from afar and a central scenography to avoid an empty core. It is often the territory of a custom exhibition stand.

The corner stand: 2 open sides, the best compromise

A corner stand is open on two adjacent sides, at the intersection of two aisles. It is the best visibility-to-budget ratio at the show: far more visible than an in-line stand, far cheaper than an island. The key is to dress both faces and turn the corner into a focal point (corner sign, totem, showcase). Perfect as a modular or custom-built stand.

The peninsula stand: 3 open sides

The peninsula stand opens three sides onto the aisles while keeping a back wall. It offers heavy footfall and a large catchment area, with a solid surface that is ideal for a sign or a powerful brand wall.

The in-line stand: 1 frontage on the aisle

The in-line stand opens only one frontage onto the aisle, between two neighbours. It is the most economical configuration, ideal for small spaces and a first presence: everything then rides on a strong brand wall and a clear welcome at the front.

We answer everything

Exhibition stands: your frequently asked questions

It all depends on the format: a portable kit starts at a few hundred euros, a modular stand runs into the thousands, a custom build into the tens of thousands depending on size and finishes. Full details in our guide to the price of a trade show stand.

By configuration: in-line (1 side), corner (2 sides), peninsula (3 sides), island (360°). By construction: portable kit, modular, custom-built and double-decker. Review the types of exhibition stands to choose based on your location, budget and goals.

It depends on your goals and the expected traffic: 9 to 18 sqm for a first presence, 20 to 50 sqm to host and demonstrate, 100 sqm and more for a multi-zone setup. We help you calibrate without oversizing.

For a one-off show, rental or a kit is enough. If you exhibit several times a year, a reusable modular or custom stand, stored between editions, quickly costs less than renting everything again.

Yes: every show imposes rules (height, electricity, fire safety, materials). We build your stand in full compliance and handle the paperwork with the organiser for you.

Ideally 2 to 4 months for a custom or modular stand, a few weeks for a kit. The earlier you plan, the better the location, the design and the build-up slots.
