CSR Charter · TheStandExperts
A sustainable stand builder does more than slap on a green logo: they design stands made to be reused, build them cleanly in their own workshop and look after their second life once each trade show is over. Here is our charter, commitment by commitment.

The real problem
Most stands are still built for a single edition: installed on Monday, thrown in the skip on Thursday night. Meanwhile, your customers, your investors and the regulations are asking you to account for it.
01
Rebuilding a set for every trade show means paying twice for the same materials: once at purchase, once at the skip. Neither your budget nor your footprint comes out ahead.
02
CSR reports, CSRD requirements, indirect emissions: your trade shows are part of your reporting. A stand with no traceability becomes an embarrassing blind spot.
03
An “eco” poster on a stand thrown away after three days: your visitors notice. Without proof or method, the green promise hurts your brand instead of serving it.
A sustainable stand builder is a stand designer and manufacturer who applies corporate social responsibility across the stand’s entire life cycle: eco-design, controlled manufacturing, reuse and an organised end of life, along with decent working conditions for the installation crews. In practice, they design an eco-friendly stand planned from the 3D stage to be dismantled, stored and rebuilt, rather than a single-use set. The difference can be measured: less material bought, less waste produced, and an exhibition stand that pays for itself over several years.
Our charter
No grand declarations: three phases, with verifiable commitments at each one. That is the whole difference between a CSR charter and a green-tinted page.

The bonus nobody else offers
Your trade shows count towards your company’s indirect emissions. When your CSR team asks for figures, most stand builders have nothing to provide. We do:
Enough to turn a line of expenditure into a concrete argument for your responsible communication, with figures to back it up. As ADEME points out, eco-design is decided upstream, at the moment the design choices are made.
A project sheet with materials, certifications and planned reuse: ready to attach to your reporting, with no work on your side.
In practice
| Item | Common practice | How TheStandExperts does it |
|---|---|---|
| Structure | Single-use wooden set, skip after the show | Demountable frame, reused for 10 to 20 editions |
| Visuals | Printed panels glued on, inseparable, thrown away | Interchangeable visuals: the structure stays, the campaign changes |
| Materials | Unknown origin, no certification | FSC/PEFC wood, recyclable fabrics, traceability provided |
| Lighting | Power-hungry spotlights hired at the last minute | 100% LED, integrated from the design stage |
| Transport | Several contractors, several trucks | One truck planned from a single workshop |
| End of life | The exhibition centre skip | Back to the workshop: storage, reconfiguration, recovery |
Reuse also weighs on the budget: see the price of a trade show stand to compare item by item.
The S in CSR
Your stand is installed by the crews who built it: trained, equipped and supervised. No cut-price labour recruited the day before the build.
Installation that respects the venues’ rules, validated technical files, inspected structures. A responsible stand is first of all a safe stand for the people who build it and visit it.
A workshop in France, suppliers we have worked with for years, long-term relationships. CSR is practised throughout the value chain, not just in the brochure.
How it works
Your trade shows, your budget, your reporting requirements: together we define what “responsible” means for you.
The stand is designed for several floor spaces and several editions, with the visuals kept separate from the structure.
Certified materials, recovered offcuts, a control pre-build: the stand is tested before it leaves.
One planned transport, in-house crews, a clean dismantling within the venue’s deadlines.
The stand returns to the workshop, where it is maintained and reconfigured for your next trade show. Nothing goes in the skip by default.
Proof
Before it became a selling point, reuse was simply craftsman’s common sense to us: a well-designed stand is not thrown away. Our clients reuse the same stand from one trade show to the next, reconfigured for every edition. Browse our portfolio to see these stands in action.

One workshop, one chain of traceability
“The same stand has followed us for three years, on two trade shows a year. We only buy new visuals: the budget has shrunk, and we have figures for the CSR report.”
Claire M.
Communications Manager
“We were looking for a stand builder able to justify the origin of the materials to our board. The project sheet arrived without us having to ask twice.”
Thibault R.
CSR Director
“Our old stand went in the skip after every edition. The new one returns to the workshop and comes back reconfigured. Nobody can tell it is the same stand.”

“A stand that lives through fifteen editions means fifteen sets that never end up in the skip. In our trade, CSR is first and foremost workshop common sense.”
An eco-friendly stand focuses on environmental impact: materials, waste, energy. A CSR stand goes further: it adds the social side (build conditions, crews, suppliers) and governance (traceability, reporting). A sustainable stand builder covers all three, not just the first.
At the first edition it can cost slightly more than a disposable set. From the second, the logic flips: you only pay for transport, installation and reconfiguration. Over 3 years, a reused stand almost always works out cheaper than a stand rebuilt for every show.
With every project we provide a summary sheet: materials and certifications, share of reuse, number of editions covered, transport organisation. This data slots straight into your extra-financial reporting, with no reprocessing on your side.
It is dismantled by our crews, transported to our workshop, inspected, maintained and then stored. For the next edition it is reconfigured to suit your new location. At end of life it is dismantled and sorted: the materials go back into reuse or recovery.
Wood from sustainably managed forests (FSC or PEFC), recyclable fabrics, visuals kept separate from the structure, 100% LED lighting. Above all: a structure built to last, because the most eco-friendly material is the one you only buy once.
Yes. Our custom stands are designed to be dismantled and rebuilt: the architecture is unique, but it lives through several editions just like a modular stand. It is the design that makes reuse possible, not the type of stand.
